From the M2 Competition Owners Manual:
Still laugh my ass off. Belt holder my ass...
You mean cloth ripper for rear seat people...
Use it all the time, I have my seat fairly close to the wheel and thus have a far reach for the seatbelt. This thing, although not as great as the mechanical seatbelt arm in the 4 series, is still a helpful delight. Really proves that the designers/engineers actually thought about this issue...

And how does this rip cloth or whatever? Don't you usually fold the seats up when someone is entering the backseat?

Holy cow, you aren't kidding! I just took a look and I have to say, out of all the car forums I have been part of in the past 20+ years, I have NEVER seen so many negative posts from someone!
I honestly don't have a problem with it, since it's just a persons opinion, but man, I hope that negativity isn't part of his every day life.

it means it comes with the glossy carbon fiber trim, as in the CS, unlike the dry carbon in the standard M2C.

I believe that’s a negatory, good sir. 4MC is the dry carbon code. I believe the glossy carbon on the CS is 4WU.

They certainly hold you in, but they won't be very easy for some people to get in and out of. I can imagine a lot of negative spousal energy being emitted.

You can longer slide into them like a normal seat. It's more like a race seat that requires more effort.

I tend to prefer the standard ones overall which are a little more comfortable and are still grippy enough for spirited driving.

Good info.. I assumed "standard" meant wet carbon fiber.

I stand corrected..

But I wonder why the distinction then? *Rhetorical*

Nice share. Interestingly two tone seats. The M steering wheels and 763 wheels are a nice touch.

Maybe just pointing out that you cannot get piano black with this edition?

Those seats are definitely attention getters. I'd worry about the white piece if leather on the seat bolster that gets "butt drag" wear.

Unless they sell at a premium vs the normal M2C, it looks like a good deal with the 763's and Executive package included. If you like the 788s or don't want 763s or don't want Hockenheim then nevermind.

In that case, it's actually a NEGATIVE. The dry carbon is far more upscale and nicer than the wet carbon.

My mom's base Lexus NX crossover has glossy wet carbon that looks exactly like the F80 M3/M4. No thanks.

I'm sure the retrofit for them into F87 shouldn't be too difficult but only time will tell.
They won’t fit, bolt pattern is totally different, just like the wheels of any G series BMW can’t be retrofit neither

If $3k includes executive and 763M wheels I would definitely go for it because I prefer those wheels and like that they are lighter. Seats are different and ok. No love for steering wheel - been there done that. Agree with previous poster that a unique color would have been nice.

This was called Run Out Edition in Germany and it was over 6k EUR/6.5k USD.
I highly doubt this will be offered for 3k. Alone the wheels are more expensive than that.

For those who might be interested in buying one of these -- or finding one to do the public service of taking pictures and posting on the forum -- I think this query will return matches:

[url removed; see EDIT below]

I did a little URL manipulation to build the query above but will see about making these directly searchable using the filters on Kilter. Cheers!

EDIT: We added the ability to search for the Special Content Package directly. Why? Because we can. : )

https://kilter.com/search?line=BMW+M...ns=include.570

If you like the seats, wheels, and steering wheel and were already planning on HS, executive package, carbon fiber trim, no moonroof, and no M Driver's Package, this seems pretty cool to me. It looks like it adds about $2k over MSRP to get the Special Content Package seats, wheels, and steering wheel.

HS / executive package / 6MT = $61,645 MSRP incl. destination
HS / special content package / 6MT = about $63,500 (assuming destination incl.)

HS / executive package / DCT = $64,545 MSRP incl. destination
HS/ special content package / DCT = about $66,500 (assuming destination incl.)
