I've only just been constantly calling the BMW genius number.
Go to bmw website and click on owners. Sign up, then use production number to add your vehicle.
I tried both the Australian and the main BMW website and couldn't find "owner" anywhere; can you please provide a link?

Thank you in advance
The track my bmw is not available for us! you will need to get that information from your salesman!
That's what I got also. In fact, I'd go as far as saying, our BMW web presence is p>#s poor.

Trouble is, even my sales manager can't give me any particulars apart from build-date.

I'll have to ask him tomorrow again see what info I can gather.

Hopefully, on or after my build-date of October 12th he may be able to give me at least the VIN etc.

Was initially hoping these would be individually numbered, it would have been fun to end up with a cool number like 1234

If anyone is still looking for a build slot we have a Week 41 available at MSRP. PM me if serious about it.

I will not allow someone to resell it. In fact I'll have the depositor sign that they can't sell the slot.

Dealership is North of Boston.

PM me if interested.

SEAT TIME RULES How does someone normally resell a slot? How does a dealership allow this?

Well, based on what I am seeing it seems there are plenty of allocations available if anyone truly wants a CS, including MRSP and even with a few points off MRSP.

This suggests to me the members who say they cannot get an allocation, or not willing to pay above MRSP are not serious about getting a CS. . . seems ludicrous that anyone would pay above MRSP at this point, and probably why those dealerships marking above MRSP have open allocations.

That is perfectly fine, as I am not in the car sales business or interested in trying to get anyone to buy a CS. In fact, I have been more than boisterous in stating my views when it comes to the Competition over the CS . . . which, as far as I can tell, is the route many are taking now that the rubber has met the road when it comes to CS availability.

Clients speculate that demand will be higher than supply so they can resell their spot for a profit.

Does not seem to be the case in this particular situation with CS. . . but I understand your business stance.

I have shifted from trying to get a an allocation to slightly trying to score a discount with Illinois dealers.

the MSRP allocations are readily available in state.

I think there will be LOT cars to pick from and then it is going to be an issue of finding a right build for you.

Also, looking around the couch for an extra $83K. lol

It will be interesting to see how the market responds to these cars being available (at least potentially) on lots down the road.

This car is much more enticing below 80K, but I would be surprised if we see any discounts along those lines for quite a while.

Can't wait to see one in person.

It's pretty interesting how the cars are distributed if the list was right. The fact that Illinois got 22 is kinda nuts. There aren't that many major city centers so the concentration of cars in the Chicago area is quite high. Then only having 4 in Wisconsin the demand relative to cars is pretty high. Pretty much have to do the across state thing to try to balance out. Definitely will be interesting to see how the final sales and market balance. COVID and the economy make it further interesting.

I wonder if anyone has tried to get their local dealership to do the legwork for them? If an allocation is available a dealership can reach out and attempt a trade for it. I'm pretty sure the dealerships can identify where there are remaining allocations within a couple of minutes.

I think that once the car lands 78,200 😉is the fair price on a manual car hoping it has the "right" tires .

Cup 2s in the middle of winter would be questionable. Who is going to eat the cost if those tires are not taken care of at the store .

I think that some of the smaller stores that were encouraged (forced) to take the flagship car and have the car in the lot will be quick to make a deal.

....

If anyone has a shot at getting a discount , I would bet on Kief

Happy hunting guys!

Mine will be removed (and replaced with winter wheels/tires) and stuffed in the corner of my garage before the CS even leaves the dealership. I'm assuming they don't need to go into tire bags or anything like that.
According to the below briefing, temps under 20 deg F could cause surface cracks if flexed. The slides also outline the best way to store the tires depending if they are on wheels or not. Check out PDF Page 27-29. This for the current Cup2s (briefing is 2018) but I would assume this applies to the new and improved Cup2 developed for M2CS as well.

https://www.pca.org/sites/default/fi...r-TTW-2018.pdf

There is seemingly some other good info in the brief, too.

BTW, Are your tires for sale??

Not an expert so glad the other forum member posted the literature.

My angle was more of what happens with a winter delivery full of snow / ice / bitter colds and the dealership has to move the car around or isn't aware of the tire situation. Or simply to make others aware to have a backup plan —— flatbed ?

Let's say you decided to risk the drive home on those tires and then slide on the slightest wet patch . There was a horror story of an x3m comp owner that damaged the truck on the ride home on super sports .

I once declined to test drive an m235 because the weather was like 20F , clean roads. tha CA looked at me funny when I said I don't want to ruin the tires

I imagine a car like your m2 cs would be pampered at the store . It also sounds like you have a plan already .

Very Good point - I would hope the dealer would accommodate a winter wheel set up to get the car home, especially here in Germany where there are potential legal issues with not having the proper tires in winter months.

I think ///AVM or SEAT TIME RULES may have one available. There's quite a few mentions in the thread from individuals with MSRP available... I'd recommend doing this the other way around - you'll have to do the legwork and PM'ing to be successful.
