Looking forward to hearing about your on track experience. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences. This is a really interesting product, particularly during COVID when coaches/instructors aren’t allowed in the car with drivers in my area.

But, can we all agree unboxing videos are weird? A lot of breathing and tossing parts around 🤣 How did this become a thing?

If you're in a crash the pretty heavy tablet will definitely fly around in the cabin. But just driving on track on non-slicks, then the magnet will probably hold it. I'm not about to gamble. And I suspect many organizers will not let you out on the track if they see it AND understand it's a magnet only holding it.

My aim solo has a magnetic mount, but they're super magnets and has screws for additional security. Not to mention to holder wraps around it. |

Did you format the memory card? There's a thread on the f8x about it failing to save until the memory cards were formatted.

I did a 20 minute session and one more like the one in the video, all with the same result. I ordered a new memory card, and emailed Garmin. Still extremely interested in how it will do once up and running! Found a trackday I can go to next sunday. |

https://www.autosportlabs.com/produc...turetrack-mk2/ Tried it on my Focus RS where I could get "wrong" OBD data out of it but it would never ever record or recognise a track. I tried it in the M2C with the M2 preset and no matter what I do no data comes out. Its really burnt me on these types of devices. I did try this once which works well but at the time I was new to the M2C (and RWD tracking) on a very wet Zandvoort so couldnt use it to its full potential. https://apextrackcoach.com/ The low level of info is actually nice to help you concentrate and the data that came out easy enough to understand without needing a race engineer They also have an OBD dongle for it now.
