That's simply false. It's a true limited edition model at the moment. Nothing has been confirmed yet. We don't know if 466 is the be-all and end-all number.
BMW seems to be getting more money for the car in markets outside of the US. Why would any excess capacity go there if they can find a way to make more than the original number?
Just because these cars cost more in outside markets doesn't mean that BMW pockets more money from each sale.

Supply and demand dictate how much they will make, how much it costs to import, tariffs/tax, etc.

Take Singapore, for example. The entire (insane) markup is not on the side of BMW, but the government.
In Australia the car is $95k usd before taxes and tariffs.

Texas update:

M3 Adjuster was number one on list and ordered his yesterday.
I am number two on the list. Had an M2 OG and an M2 Competition. Decided to keep the 1M and give a friend my slot. No regrets today, maybe later.

M3 Adjuster is keeping the 1M too.

It's the true analog experience (almost). Think of it like the manual transmission for your locks. Click your own. You could even flip out the actual metal key and even unlock the actual cylinder for super throwback days!

I'm honestly most annoyed that there is no HUD after having that on my 3 series. Hate that every time I hop in our X3 and it's not there.

build sheet is printed out and hanging up on my board by desk like a trophy! haha!

That doesn't bother me a lot because I don't have it on my E90. I also don't have a heated wheel.

Now we wait. My only reservation at this point is if I get buyer's remorse for BSM the first time I see a MB/gold combo.

So, three months, or so ago I provided offer to secure first spot toward CS allocation at dealership where I recently purchased my Competition. As before, I have absolutely zero to gain from offer other than potentially helping fellow forum member secure a CS chassis allocation.

Interest was non-existent until recently when BMW release of U.S. allocations approached. One forum member contacted me from California and ultimately secured the allocation. Multiple other forum members subsequently contacted me and I indicated the allocation was taken.

Unfortunately, I was just informed that the forum member who secured the allocation lost his home in the California wildfires and withdrew his intent to purchase the vehicle. Very understandable and I am really sorry to hear about our fellow forum member's misfortune.

The CS build submitted is currently Misano Blue, MT, Gold Wheels, Steel Brakes and Cup2 tires. However the build can be changed to custom specs through, I believe, next week. As before, the dealer NEVER charges above MRSP.

I have been given permission to provide the following for anyone interested:

TJ Slivka
Sales Manager
Grand Blanc Motorars
Grand Blanc, MI
(810) 695-4400

I hope this helps a interested forum member.

It seems crazy how quietly bmw rolled out this model. It seems interest has quickly built and I was mistaken about them being mostly sold out prior to launch.

I'm curious how many allocations are available versus not. Especially with some places having waiting lists 7 deep, while others having 0.

This. It was the reason we never ordered a M2 until now. Having had HUD on the F80 and m40/x4 it took the CS to push me over the line.
