Got a track day in yesterday
In my province we are now allowed to meet in groups up to 30 so that's what we did. Had a great last stint when I went out first so I had the track to myself until I started lapping people |

Just put the seats down and the tires line up 4 across without limiting seating space (I’m 6’2" and run the seat fairly far back on the street). Rearward visibility is near on-existent, so I’ve since removed the back seat. Last edited by bentom2; 05-26-2020 at 09:14 PM.. |

Having said that, tracking a car does not compare to tracking a bike. The FZ09 is track capable, despite the soft suspension. And I definitely have a temptation to take out my old leathers. Not to mention my beloved M2 feels underwhelming relative to the FZ09.

COTA is starting to open up. We have a private day on June 6th and it has been confirmed good to go. There is an HPDE a couple of weekends later that has been confirmed as well.
WRL @ Daytona 6/13 still on as well

The trunk is usually full for out of town trips- tools, jack, jack stands, awning, suitcase, cooler... My gf is usually with me in her cayman, so I get to carry all the stuff to set up camp in the paddock. So the fact that all 4 will fit in the back seat was a big win. Everything packages better for me that way than 3+1. |

If it helps, I can email you some of my BMW Laptimer files to download...i instruct with Chin at Sebring so the data might help after you get familiar with the track.i am always shocked at how fast the M2 is through Bishops Bend.

Yes and no
I think it depends a lot on what you're used to as well as your suspension setup Sebring is considered by many to be the best road course in the state while others argue that it can take too much of a toll on you and your vehicle In any case, you definitely need to familiarize yourself with some of the bumpy sections A classic example being the braking zone coming into Turn 7 |

I just got an email from RSR that starting soon Spa and Nurbergring are a go again. The first days they have posted are towards the end of June. I'm signed up for July 3rd and 20th on the Nordschleife.
Finally! It looks like this season will start. Hopefully this terrible thread can come to a close soon!

For turn 13 try to get all the way track left after 12 and brake late, go for slightly late apex, take a bit of the curb at apex and let it track out all the way left. Since you are coming quickly from right to left there is a very short window when your wheel is straight enough to hard brake...it may even feel like you are aiming at your turn in point at a slight angle when braking. Some people seem to come out of 12 too fast and too far right to get back to track left before 13, so they end up being track center, pinch it and loose the momentum all the way through Bishops.
