Feedback on M2 art

Because of the quarantine/lockdown, I've found some free time for the first time in a long time. I decided to do something productive and created some M2 Competition canvas sketch art for my home office. I liked the way it came out and decided it might be a fun hobby related side business, so I created sketch art for a few other cars that I like.

I built a website for this but haven't launched it yet. I'd love to get some feedback from other F87 owners to see what they think before I launch this to the public. Is this worth pursuing or am I just going crazy from being home too long?

I say do it, but don't invest too much money into it. Start with Etsy and go from there. I tried something similar where I wanted to sell automotive photography framed and ready to hang up. I printed the stuff on Hahnemule paper and tried to sell them in a 20"x24" format for $200 shipped. Let's just say after building a website on Squarespace and spending 6 months on trying to recruit car photographers, I made no sales and spent $7k on supplies and equipment.

The lesson I took from it was take it easy, have a third party print and ship, and start with an easy setup like Etsy to sell. If it picks up, build a website, and slowly transition to your e-commerce platform.

Your sketches are cool, and I'm sure there is an audience for it, so just give it a test run. Just an FYI, make sure to note that BMW and other brand name stuff is owned by the brand and not you so you are not slammed with copyright or other letters.

Attaching one of my images. Best of luck and stay sane during the quarantine!

That's hot, to be able envision the sculpture of the car, then transfer it to paper..

It's almost like a copy machine.. Good luck

I like em! I'll order one....I want an OG M2 one, but could you take off the front plate and do a darker stencil like the M2C?....I actually like the stance and angle of M2C better as well.

Great work!

Not bad. Would you limit yourself to the canvas prints or do something like coffee mugs or something?

Thanks a lot for the feedback! The OG M2 was the first one I did and I refined the style to make them darker going forward. I'll redo it the OG in the next day or so and update it online.

Thanks! I actually tried a coffee mug but didn't love the way it looked. I might experiment with a few more things.

I went ahead and updated the M2 image taking the above advice (no front plate, darker sketch). It's now available here: https://combustion.club/collections/...7-canvas-print

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
