Or as others have said: the secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new / a successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.

'End of production' of past experiences. 'Start of production' of new experiences, shaping a new part of life, a new reality to be experienced, with past experiences - good and bad - as valuable lessons. This is misinformation.

The reason was the N55 wasn’t Euro 6d-temp compliant (as the S55 wasn’t) and was offered only on one model. BMW made the call to invest in making one engine E6d-temp compliant and as the S55 was also fitted on the M4 / M3 CS / M4 CS, it made more sense to develop this engine and put it on the M2, too.

Ok, if you say so, thanks for setting the record straight.

Plasticky junk. I don't know why BMW is going the way of fake vents, etc.

Just awful. Talk about ruining your brand.

Therefore, very likely, the G87 M2 will get a beefed up B58 (B58B30TO) 410ps rated from factory, as the legitimate F87 M2 OG successor. Let's welcome.
It has been done once before when BMW shipped S54 engines to South Carolina for Z4M assembly. Actually, I guess it was done for all the X M SUVs too and the Z3M.

The car may well end up with B58, but I don't know if it makes much difference to ship an S58 vs a B58 on a boat.

Not really, this isn't the M2's successor. G87 is still to be announced.

This is a 1 series Sedan with the number 2 in front because #marketing.

Will they keep all of that tacky, plastic garbage off of the new M2? And fake vents, like they put on the new 3-er?

We'll see, but I'm not optimistic.

When I referred to it as "entry-level" I mean the cheapest and lowest tier in the line-up offerings.

I wasn't trying to steal any thunder away from the M2's lineage but factually, it's what it is..

I'd disagree...

The entry level 2 series is the 228i, and the highest trim level is the M2.

However, the M2 is the "entry level" M car, and the 2 series is the "entry level" series. So I suppose it's just semantics.

Awful looking. I'm convinced the M2 CS is the last good looking BMW.
