You can. Manual only says <5500 rpm and <105 mph, and vary the rpm. And always warm up before revving her up

Break-in is RPM's and MPH, and the usual "vary your speed". It can be a bit of a challenge to keep your RPM's low in Sport+ (very sensitive throttle), but that's the only danger with it. It's not a bad thing to hold off on playing in Sport+ too much until you know the car, but you know you...so whatever works for your experience and style.

Don't worry OP...a Camry won't take you. Ever.

BigKutta, you are from my hometown. I know exactly the dealer you picked up the M2C. I remember frequenting A&J's across the street a bunch.
You may see my brother's 991 GTS (Carmine Red) on the road once in a while. He takes the Clara Barton parkway frequently for thrill rides.

Anyways, when you get past break-in, set to:
-Sport+ throttle (of course)
-MDM
-Drivelogic setting (2 or 3 bars) for more aggressive shifts.

Quoting this because I was not too familiar with Drivelogic myself, but you obviously may be:

If you are feel like going balls to the wall and want thumping aggressive shifts set to 3 bars.

I was feeling the same way as you initially, but after break-in, it will really open up as you put the more aggressive options on. I always drive in Sport+/Sport+ MDM, DriveLogic (usually 1 or 2). DriveLogic 3 I assume is more for track usage.

I use Efficient throttle only if it is raining and during warm up. In the Las Vegas area, rain is the equivalent of black ice in MD. I actually never use Sport mode. Always Efficient or Sport+.

The M2C has more power down low than my previous 981 GT4.

Hopefully, after break-in you feel differently. I think you will at least somewhat. If that doesn't help, you can always do Launch Control after every red-light!

Out of curiousity, I've seen people say 'warm her up first' but without a lot of qualifying what that means. How warm does it need to be and what would one count as 'revving it up?' Does it need to sit for a long time first or can I just jump in and go?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a noob.

Really opened her up as much as I could within the break-in rules. Cant wait to shift her past the 5k mark. There is just so much juice left at 5k. Here are some observations:

Handling - Probably the best thing about this car. With the PSS, this thing is sticky. No body roll or lean, the M2C is on rails

Power - Not too happy in 1st and 2nd and below 3k rpm. i feel like a Camry could beat me off the line. After 3-4k rpm, the power really comes on

DCT - Incredible. Fast shifts, in manual and in D mode. I always find myself driving in manual mode
Exhaust sound - Sounds great when really pushing this car, and when slowing down rapidly. On acceleration, I'm not sure which sound is radioed in versus real. I had the windows down today so got a better sense. I love the sound when doing shifts at 5k rpm.

Looks - So understated. Looks unassuming from far, but look at it closely and it looks so mean and aggressive. Wont draw much attention on the road, and then randomly I'll get a thumbs up or a honk. I guess those who know, know.

Overall - The M2C is the perfect package. Its got the right features and technology, nothing more and nothing less. We've got all the essentials, and some luxuries, and at the right price point. The interior, while basic, is exactly what you want in a sports car. For the money and even more money, I see no reason why the M2C isn't the best sports car on the road!! (I know, I'm biased)

Happy motoring!
1st and 2nd could really send you sideway if in MDM + give it the boot...I mean pedal to metal boot

Your engine is still tight and after engine break-in you will notice a difference when you punch it

Get Bimmercode and an OBD to code out the fake engine noise. I felt it vastly improved the emotional feel of the car.

Awesome! was at A&J just last week. BMW of Rockville is where I bought mine...that place is growing and moving again

So, here is my setup:
Cold car - Efficiency mode, Sport Steering, Drive logic set at 2 (I can's stand DL1...puts me in 7th at 35mph)

Then I'll switch to Sport Mode for regular driving once the temp needle is up 1/3

(M1) - Sport, Sport Steering, Drive Logic set at D2. this is actually a good setup for spirited driving, without going too crazy

I rarely put it in S+ yet, perhaps a few time just to get a thrill, but within the break-in parameters, so that really does nothing, so here is my setup

(M2) - Sport +, Sport Steering, Drive Logic set to D3 (I'll switch to S3 after break-in). Can wait to do more of this after break-in service. I really hope the car is a bit different after break-in, even if for the placebo effect

But so far I'm loving every minute behind the M!

I'll keep an eye out for your brother's 991!

No, always jump in and go so all components can warm up together. No idle warming (maybe 60 seconds). In the winter, I usually let the temp needle go at least 1/3 of the way across, before switching over to Sport mode.

By revving up I mean beyond 3-4k when cold

Thanks for the insight. I've seen people say similar things, but this is great clarification. Thanks again!

Just buy the app, and an ODB2 bluetooth adapter. It is beyond easy to code these days...and good to have the app for whenever you want to make changes.

Oh you won't be disappointed. It's a Beast over 6K!

Had a few spirited runs on Super Bowl Sunday as it was over 50 here. Can't wait for warmer weather and putting my summer tires back on

Just warm it up properly every time and keep in "eco" or sport untill you get used to the car... In sport+ or even MDM it could "surprise " you...

Congratulations and very jealous - mines "Awaiting carrier assignment." Long Beach blue, manual, exec pkg.

What coping mechanism did you use to remain sober prior to arrival?

Haha. This was the first BMW I didnt order. I knew I wanted an M2 but was planning late 2021 when my daughter started driving and we needed a 4th car. Anyway, due to some issues with our third car, I had to speed up the buy a bit.
I called a couple of dealers who had the exact spec I wanted (HS, exec, DCT) and got a great deal so I jumped on it.

You will get your at the perfect time - Spring. So these days when the roads are not good to drive the M2, or when I'm not driving it, I watch every damn youtube video on the M2. I swear I've watched every one because now I'm getting M2 videos in different languages I've reached the end of the internet. You can do the same.

One thing is for certain, you will love the M2C. Its a blast!! I cant wait for the break in service

Congrats!! I'm so jealous! I'm waiting for my dealership to secure mine and i find out today if they got it or not.

I LOVE the photos you took. The Hockenheim silver looks so freaking good. I used to think that it was just meh based on pictures but once i saw it in person at a dealership, i was amazed at how good it looked, and it was at night too!.

I'm with you though, i dont think i've loved the design of a BMW this much before. I have always loved BMWs, the combination between sleek styling and sportiness has always been amazing, but this car just looks so aggressive and like nothing else on the road.
