Setting Default Steering on Startup
Is there a way to change the default steering mode upon startup? My M2C always defaults to "Sport" instead of "Comfort." I went through the iDrive but I couldn't find an option to change it. Thanks!

I think itd require aftermarket coding. It drives me nuts as well. If someone has a solution. Im down to do it lol. Right now I set m1 to be comfort steering and sport throttle.

I want to do the same! I was doing some coding with Bimmercode last weekend and wasn’t able to find a setting for it.
Would also like it to default to sport+ throttle on startup! |

I was going to try Bimmercode, too, but my experience was the same. I couldn't find it.

Wait, what? I'm pretty sure I set mine to comfort when i first got the car and only changed it to sport after a few weeks of driving it around in comfort.
Did I just imagine that? |

No way to change this with coding. Just like not being able to get it to start in sport throttle it's one of those things you have to live with. Some guys make one of the M buttons a comfort profile.

For me I live downtown and it is my daily driver, usually upon getting in the car and starting out I prefer lighter steering for maneuvering. Don’t want stiff steering while driving in parking garages and city streets at low speeds.

Fair points, in particular about track/auto-x as i have no M2 experience of that.
I do notice, even in sport, at crawl speeds and especially reversing the steering becomes much lighter anyway as the system adds in more assistance. So when parking etc even in sport its so easy to palm the wheel quickly lock to lock with one hand, i dont know how much more light it could be and I'm only a slight build. |
