2019 M Car Days
The 2019 M Car Days is approaching. It is September 14th. I hope to see some of you there.
They usually have over 200 M cars show up. And Groit’s gives a discount for anything purchased that day. https://bmwpugetsound.com/event/12th-annual-m-car-day/ Last edited by DanG; 08-05-2019 at 07:25 PM.. |

Lol, i could go down with my loaner, i'm pretty sure it will be a BMW. Last time, i got a M240i, however i did get an X1, X2, 430i, and a 640GT once. I want a 7 series next, i'll just say i'm an exec for an imaginary company.

The M2's kept coming and going...I never managed to get an actual count of how many there were. It certainly broke the record of the most M2's my car has ever been near (easily done...the old record was one other M2 other than mine).

Sunset Orange was the absent color. I actually hadn't gotten to see HS before, so I was thrilled that a couple examples were there. Very neat color! If I had gone that way I would have been quite satisfied with it.

I stopped off at M Town Tour at BMW Seattle on the way home. They had a Sunset Orange M2C.
I actually got to drive a X3M. It was really hard to evaluate the cars since they had you drive a fairly short urban route. Never got over 35 mph. The best part of the X3M though was the heads up display. Too bad that we didn’t have that option. |

I've never had so many compliments on the color of my car until HS. It's a fun paint for the PNW I think as it changes tones based off the weather, its pretty dynamic! either way, i would take any color of M2C as they all look great IMO. |

I agree with you. But probably the most disappointing thing of the day is that most people did not realize how special the M2s are. They got very little attention from the crowd and none were used in the “story time”. Having owned several M cars before, the M2 is by far my favorite car that I have owned.

I had two people talk to me about the car. One gent had an, I think, F10 M5. He asked a few questions, which was fun, but his main review that he mentioned was the surprisingly negative Savagegeese review. I heard two other folk mention Savagegeese while looking at our cars.
I've re-watched that review a few times, and I honestly think that Mr. Geese was choosing to dislike the car and down-playing its strengths. It didn't feel like his usual frowny-but-even review. I re-watched to see if my biases were coming in or if I was really picking up a bias, and I really do think I was picking up a bias. The fact that I'm not 100% in love with my car (I really, really love driving it but I have some solid issues with it) leaves me ready to accept criticism of the car, for the most part, when the criticism is a valid point. It's not a track car out of the box? Well, duh. It has street tires on it. It can go over speed bumps. In that case, neither is the M4, the standard M5, or any of the non-CS/GTS M's. It's not a valid hack on just the M2. It's stupid, but I think some enthusiasm for the M2C has been eroded by Savagegeese. Could also be the usual American "bigger is better"...4 is a bigger number than 2... |

The only interest I had was from M2C owners who had never heard the M2 with the M Performance exhaust.
But something is going on with the M2C. Both BMW Bellevue and BMW Northwest have four M2Cs in stock. BMW Seattle has none. |

When I leased my 340i, I was, for a bit, more interested in the M235i (or waiting for the M240i. I had two sales folk at Kuni BMW list off all the reasons I WOULDN'T want a 2-series as a way of steering me towards the 3's and the 5's. |

I was one of those M2C owners! I think the market has changed. the M2CS wasnt confirmed yet when i bought my '19 M2C. so maybe people are dropping orders for that, and the new supra, or z4? I've noticed seattle has alwaaays had a longer wait list compared to bellevue and NW for the M2C, since it launched.
