The M4CS has higher torque figure than the ZCP. BMW has said that the 6MT can't handle the additional torque in the CS, hence why it's DCT only (their excuse at least). If they want to offer the M2CS with the 6MT then that's another reason why it won't have the same tune as the M4CS. Not just model hierarchy. |

That puts a launch in roughly end of February/early March which is in line with previous rumors. Probably a no phones/pictures event. |

Maybe everyone with an invite will get an option for a build slot if they go. I think someone mentioned a release in September with an option to place an order at that time.

OK, the M2 CS base price cannot be as expensive as this M2 Competition kitted out with many M Performance Parts...
(picture: Xindicate) ...but let's brace ourselves for the M2 €$.

I looked at that list and tried to figure out what makes sense, but couldn't. There's a difference between parts added to a manufactured car at the factory, and paying full retail for aftermarket parts. For instance, the M2C comes with a set of wheels. The cost of wheels for M2CS would add in the neighborhood of 763M wheels minus cost of M2C wheels.
What is the "optional equipment"? M4C already comes with some carbon parts and most of what's in M2CS. It sells for less than 75k US. Does the mperformance part list include port installation? That labor also adds to the cost. |

Options featuring in the options list. In Europe we don't have an equivalent of "M2 Executive Package". It's more à la carte instead of all-in.
