Why would that matter? The M3/4 competition have the same 6MT as the M2C 6MT

The comment was with respect to why the M2 CS won't have the same tune as the M4CS.

The M4CS has higher torque figure than the ZCP. BMW has said that the 6MT can't handle the additional torque in the CS, hence why it's DCT only (their excuse at least).

If they want to offer the M2CS with the 6MT then that's another reason why it won't have the same tune as the M4CS. Not just model hierarchy.

+1

That puts a launch in roughly end of February/early March which is in line with previous rumors.

Probably a no phones/pictures event.

That would agree with why we've heard potential reveals for September and November.

Maybe everyone with an invite will get an option for a build slot if they go. I think someone mentioned a release in September with an option to place an order at that time.

Who was your invite from? Your dealer? BMW? Local country?

Was an email? Social media or post/letter?

I don't use any of the added tech in my f-type, but I do notice the nav system feels like Atari.
Remember Porsche in the past using those "Becker" radios/head units. For crying out loud. Maybe "because racecar" ?
Honestly I'm thinking about a no nav used car because it won't seem as obviously out dated because it won't have shitty software because it has no software.

Very recently, another Belgian forum fellow also received an invite:

What else could it be than the M2 CS ?

Congrats, guys, enjoy the preview !

BMW Benelux did this before with the 1M didn't they? Alpine White IIRC although it was much closer to launch than the M2 CS is currently.

Someone managed to get in a sneaky phone pic!:

NO, but they might redirect me to the next M3 or maybe a M4CS (lots of them available).

OK, the M2 CS base price cannot be as expensive as this M2 Competition kitted out with many M Performance Parts...

(picture: Xindicate)

...but let's brace ourselves for the M2 €$.

I looked at that list and tried to figure out what makes sense, but couldn't. There's a difference between parts added to a manufactured car at the factory, and paying full retail for aftermarket parts. For instance, the M2C comes with a set of wheels. The cost of wheels for M2CS would add in the neighborhood of 763M wheels minus cost of M2C wheels.

What is the "optional equipment"?

M4C already comes with some carbon parts and most of what's in M2CS. It sells for less than 75k US.

Does the mperformance part list include port installation? That labor also adds to the cost.

Options featuring in the options list. In Europe we don't have an equivalent of "M2 Executive Package". It's more à la carte instead of all-in.
