He moved pretty quickly through the Texhnical stuff, but is just too slow on the straights. You can really see in this video, but he gave me the point by just before the carousel and I didn't take it, I think he was shaking his head wondering why I didn't. It's not an allowed passing zone!

Had Bimmertech update my istep remotely to avoid having to go to a dealer and have all my previous coding wiped out. I have a ton of it so this was a big deal to me. They updated to version N18092I and added full screen apple car play. Very happy

$398usd.
If you don't have any coding or don't mind redoing it I would just go to the dealership, complain of idrive glitches/faults, get istep updated for free there and then pay someone on ebay $100 to code the full screen ACP for you: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-NBT-EVO...53.m1438.l2649 The reason I didn't go that route is because I have a huge amount of coding, a lot of which is complex and requires ESYS, and I did not want to redo all of it. By going through bimmertech the only ECU that was wiped clean and recoded was the headunit (nbt). If you go to the dealership they will rewrite every ECU. Why did I have to update my istep to begin with? Because the full screen car play mod requires you to have an istep version of N or higher. Why are some people getting it cheaper than others? Those who's cars are on version N and O can have full screen car play added via USB for ~$40. Those with P or higher must do it via eNet cable and this will incur a higher cost as it is more time consuming. |

Installed the Autotechnik M-style mirror housings.. for the money I'm happy with them. I can't justify at the moment paying $1500+ for the M2C mirrors. Maybe down the road...

Reinstalled my track pads and wheels for the upcoming events over the next week! I am getting pretty good at the pad swap, around 5 minutes per wheel on average. Rears are slightly more challenging — mostly because the spring has less give.
