I’ll join the club right before delivery to get the rebate, as well as find BMW club thing to do! My M2C is awaiting carrier assignment in Leipzig, according to My BMW. Last edited by natmad; 06-08-2019 at 04:17 PM.. Reason: Speliinng |

To describe a car that does the 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds with a trap speed of 115mph as "not so fast" is hard to fathom. DSC off -- trying to hook this thing up off the line is a challenge, and I've been driving and racing high power RWD cars for more than 40 years. If the roads are cool (under 60F), it's impossible to get the PSS' to hook up even in a roll-on in 1st gear. 2nd gear roll-ons can easily haze the tires too. Part of that is the PSS in that the new PS4S is a lot better at longitudinal traction especially at moderate to cool temperatures, so I can't wait to switch to those too like I have on the M3. In any event, describing a car that traps 115mph in the 1/4 as not so fast seems odd. It's also faster than the latest 460hp Mustang GT by 2/10ths in the 1/4 and 2/10s to 100mph. Sorry for the rant, but I just don't understand the misinformation.

anyone interested in meeting up in the Cary area? i was thinking July 10th maybe at the Starbucks/Jimmy John - corner of Chapel Hill Rd and NW Maynard (next to Lowe's) 6/6:30pm.
this is just an idea. let me know if anyone has suggestions for dates, time, and locations. we can always make it later for "cooler" weather. here is a pic for attention.

How about a Saturday morning? Not the 13th though. The M5 folks used to meet before cars and coffee, but I don't know where one is still going on in the Triangle except for Wake Forest, and that's too far.

Well, there's also the BMW CCA monthly meetings, which I think is usually on Tuesdays in Raleigh. We'll have to check the newsletter.
We can have a special table for the cool kids. (us)

So... my M2C has finally landed in the US.
The Victoria Highway made the port call, on July 4th, in Brunswick, GA. Can’t wait to join the club, officially. Especially looking forward to Oktoberfest! Looks like the Morrisville Cars and Coffee is the first Saturday morning each month at... https://m.facebook.com/events/368805420685205 Will be watching this thread for other chances to meet up with BMW cool kids. |

Triangle area BMW CCA dinner is the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Farina at Lafayette Village. There is an underground parking garage where everyone usually gathers to check out cars and BS starting at 6pm, dinner at 6:45.

Apologies - last minute change of plans. I have to be out of town for work. I will not be able to be there tomorrow.
