I love mine. I installed it back in September and I still enjoy the feel and look every time I drive the car.
What are you guys paying for these lately (new)? I shopped around and got what I thought was a pretty good price @ $710. I was shooting for $700, but hell.....couldn't wait any longer.

It's comfortable if you hold your hands on the alcantara sections, which is how I drive most of the time. The leather sections are firm and not comfortable to hold, not compared to the stock wheel. The stock wheel is soft to the touch, much more than this wheel. I noticed that when I did the swap.
I had a Focus RS and the M performance steering wheel reminds me very much of the steering wheel in that car. The leather sections did soften over time, with warmer weather and use, so I'm hoping that will happen with the M performance wheel. If it doesn't I can live with it. This steering wheel is very purposeful and meant for driving more than confort IMO. I thought I'd miss my heated steering wheel, but others were correct, the alcantara isn't affected that much by the colder weather. I hope this info helps. |

Definitely get the cf trim while you decide. If you do go with the wheel, I guarantee you’ll want the trim with it as well. I had the trim before the wheel, and while a bit pricy for what it is, it really dresses up the interior.

Agree about the CF trim, specifically the matte version. It goes well with the rest of the interior. The alcantara on this wheel is a really nice touch, and I now see why it's so popular on other cars. I ordered some Sonax cleaner so I can maintain it as long as possible.

How about maintaining the alcantara? Does it get dirty from daily use? Will it wear and tear quicker compared to stock wheel?

You lose heated steering if you had it equipped, and the wheel is a lot harder than stock. IMO it's best to just keep your hands on the alkantara sections, while driving; which feels nice. I keep my hands on these areas anyway while driving so, it doesn't bother me. I think the leather sections and just for show, and not meant to be comfortable. The combo leather/alkantara looks cool, but I think I'd prefer it were all alkantara, like on the M2 CS. The alcantara not hard to maintain so far. I use sonix cleaner and it works great. From my understanding, it works well after years, if you stay on top of it, and clean when needed. |

I have to bump this thread. I've decided to get the V1 all alcantara version. I like the V2 wheel, but having it made me want all Alcantara now. I really like the feel, and it's not hard to maintain with the Sonix cleaner.
I also think I prefer a round wheel vs. one with a flat bottom. |

I really love the Alcantara so I'm sure it will be nice all around. Maybe v3 we will get flat bottom all-cantara. |

I know I’m in the minority, but I do not understand everyone’s preference for Alcantara. It wears terribly, especially if you have sweaty hands. The trend reminds me of folks in the 70s covering up hardwood floors with nasty, synthetic wall-to-wall carpeting in their homes. I’ll take the natural feel and durability of leather any day of the week. Having said that, this V2 wheel looks awesome, and I would be tempted if they offered a full leather version.

my 2¢ on the Performance wheel when I had it on my OG M2. I think it looks gorgeous and very sporty, but for daily driving I would avoid it. I thought the Alcantara part was a bit slippery on my always dry hands. If you have sweaty palms you can have a good grip. If you track it, then great since you will wear driving gloves, it will have grip. Also I thought it feels pretty hard all around for daily drive.

I wasn't a big fan of alcantara until I until I actually had time with it on the V2 wheel. It was actually my favorite part about the wheel. |

I have the all alcantara CS wheel coming. This is the one I wanted since seeing it on the M2 & M4 CS. I will be putting my V2 m performance wheel up for sale soon.

Installed CS style wheel. I really like this one. It seems even thicker than the stock wheel and I love the all alcantara.
I know it's not for everyone but I really like it. |
