Saw a Long Beach blue M2 Comp at a local dealership for sale. Asked the salesman about it, and they are asking for sticker.

You are probably going to have to start doing some cold calling and emailing to hopefully find one. Not a lot of people willing to give up there capital with there "ins" at dealers to a stranger for less than MSRP. But wish you the best. At the end of the day, is it worth getting $1-2k off then go with a sure thing that is already at a 5% discount from US MSRP in ED MSRP?

Not advocating you give up or trying to be a downer. Just my thought process.

Ran into this on the BMW site for a lease deal. Is it just me or are the residuals much higher than previously stated? Based on the residual amount and MSRP, I come up with a 53% residual at 10k miles/yr.

The 2019 residual comes out to 57 on my 2019 comp.

The 2020 is 53 like you pointed out.

i noticed the same thing...the lease special for the 2019 m2c in my area comes out to be a 57% residual as well when you reverse the math.

hopefully this will mean the m2c will lease closer to m3/m4 numbers in the future.

Added lease program numbers for the 2020 M2 Competition. No change for 2019 M2 program.

BMWFS needs to offer 5k and 7500 mile monthly lease options, like they've offered for Mini customers in the SF Bay Area and other major metropolitan cities.

I live in the city and want a nice car for evenings and weekends only.

50% residual means that at the end of the lease I can buy the car for 50% of the value of the car brand new, right? So if my M2 costs me 64k my residual value will be 32k. Is this correct?

Congrats! and amazing deal

What dealership? And what bank or credit union ? .9 is like 'free' money

yes...assuming your not downing anything other then drive offs. Since the interest rate on the BMW lease is really high...you still make be better off financing if you can get a low apr...unless you want the protection leasing offers and how sales tax works on a lease in your state.

nothing direct...for example if you get into a accident or if someone hits, you can just return the car at the end of the lease and not take the negative equity hit vs if you trade-in your financed car with a accident on the car fax.

leases usually include gap insurance as well.

some states allow you to pay state tax monthly on the just the lease amount vs if you financed the car you would need to pay for sales tax for the whole car up front and you pay interest on that additional amount toward the principle.

if it was a 20k civic it doesnt matter but on a 60k car...the numbers start to add up.

I never thought about that. I heard horror stories about the lease return process, and how strict bmw is about knicks and scratches. Apparently they charge you unless you decide to buy with them again.

if your buying the car at the end of the lease it doesnt matter...you can just see it almost same as financing with the option to return the car in 3yrs, the problem is BMW's interest rates on their leases is really high at 3.98% this month vs lexus IS lease 0.024% with 5k lease cash.

for the lexus it would be cheaper to lease then buy but on the BMW M2 you would have to crunch the numbers to see if it makes sense for you.

Financed Amount: $73,785.00

Looking at the residuals being quoted elsewhere, this is a pretty good deal other than the interest rate.

That said, BMW.ca is currently quoting an MSRP of $71,250.
Then again, BMW.ca is currently quoting a lease interest rate of 7.99%.

FYI, last week I was quoted 1k for a base 19' M2C 6MT on a 39 month ease with 20k per year (km).

2019 residuals at 57% is nice. Now let's get that on the 2020 and we will have a ball game

57% is decent for left over 2019 inventory. Too bad there is only 18 listed on autotrader, most seem highly optioned and/or have Mperf parts raising the msrp.

Not sure if I could just ask here or do I need to start a new thread.

I was looking at a M2C locally and it seems there's no loyalty incentive or financing incentive available. I also can't get any discount off the random M Performance parts, which I understand to be normal. However, I'm just wondering if 58 miles is high for a March production vehicle and it was removed from the lot around the end of May. I estimate it takes 3-4 weeks after the VIN decoder production date for the vehicle to arrive at the port.

Sales advisor did not confirm if the mileage is from test driving and actually said the manager maybe took it out and drove it home.
