Fitment is good, no gaps around LED signal, Driver side (LHD) "wingtip" is only slightly further from the A-pillar than the passenger side, no whistling at slow or fast speeds (as far as I can tell - my car is VERY LOUD!!)

Some tips:

1. when putting the mirror back together, put the glass/mirror in last. video says to put the cover on last, but then you can't see the alignment for the tabs, and you can't make sure they are inserted all the way and locked - because the mirror is blocking your view.
2. as some have said, when putting the cover on, make sure the bottom most tab is in the slot and then put cover on by lining it up and applying pressure from the "wing" (window side) out to the far side. Much easier to get it all lined up. double check to make sure the tabs are locked correctly -use needle nose pliers
3. think someone said it, but don't tighten the rear screw (holding the bottom bezel) all the way at first - leave it a bit loose so you can make sure you have everything lined up correctly from the front side first.
4. The most IMPORTANT screw is the lower/outer screw. Get all the screws in there respective places but tighten this one FIRST! then do the rear screw (bottom bezel), then top outer, then bottom inner, then top inner and leave the bottom middle for last.. then go back and tighten them all again in that same order, just to be sure lol.

Other than that, all the advice in this thread is good. I was concerned reading some of the posts and the fact that AutoID Jack has had to give some tips, but this is totally doable by yourself if you have the right tools. (T-10 torx head being the key one). On to the pics.

Check the right mirror, the cover seems not fitted in one lock up to the blinker, or is a problem of fitting?

I can confirm that the difference in the wing to A-pillar gaps from one side to the other is minimal. We are talking a couple of mm difference, but the passenger side gap is slightly smaller/tighter...I don't think it's noticeable to the human eye though.

I saw that too when I posted the photos. If you look at the first photos right after install (from my garage), the gap is not there. The ones you blew up were after I drove the car around a bit. I will check them again later today - car is not my DD so I can't check it now. Will revert after having a look.

Are these compatible with cars that have the optional 360 view camera?

The side cameras are mounted in the underside of the mirrors, but AutoID's product replaces the entire housing.

I was also wondering this. These replacements sound alright, but I have the 360 cameras, as well as the blind spot detection (triangle on inside of mirror housing), so I don't want to lose functionality obviously.

I think you would need to modify the base to get the cameras to stick through.

Unfortunately not out of the box.

The base would need to be modified in order to fit but it definitely isn't impossible.

Bummer...the cameras need to be positioned and aimed very precisely, which I can't imagine being a DIY job. I'd pay good money if y'all offered a version compatible with 360 cameras though....

Thanks for the feedback Jack!

I used a plastic pry tool similar to what they used in the AutoID demo video. It doesn't take a lot of force to get them out.

Most of us use pry tools.

Be careful as you can break this glass this way. Especially if you're doing the install in colder weather.

You're not prying on the outside anywhere, just between the bottom back & sides of the mirror and inside of the stock mirror shell. Plastic against those areas isn't going to scratch easily, if at all.

I've pulled them out by hand before when I switched to CF mirror caps back when I had an M235i.

Just make sure you disperse the pressure applied to minimize/remove your chance of breaking the mirror glass.

You're not touching the paint when you pop the mirrors as far as I can remember...you are hitting the black "shadowline" plastic mirror housing. Also, doesn't really take much force to pop them off.

I ordered a whole set of plastic trim removals off Amazon for about $15. Lots of options.

Sorry but I cannot upload any pix as the internet where I am now located is for want of a better description...……….abysmal! Now based within 120 acres of land (not mine) so along way from things associated with telephony and internet! I'm pleased with the look to be perfectly candid. You are of course absolutely correct about the mirror gaps but I think this matter has been covered previously and to do with the left hand/right hand drive situation. For me it's not an issue as the car is never going to be entered into a concours competition so it won't be an issue.

Ok...so got a chance to take a few close ups the other day and the fit is not 100% OCD certified...meaning they don't line up exactly to the nanometre at the outermost tip of the mirror (with the turn signal). Of course this could just be on my set/install, as I haven't seen others close up - perhaps more fidgeting with them could get them to line up a bit better, driver's side seems a bit better, but still not 100% perfect. But to be honest, unless you want to spend $2,500 for the M2C mirrors then these are the next best thing and only a couple of hundred dollars. Cost/benefit, these (IMO) are the best bang for the buck...I mean let's face it, we're not curing cancer here...they're just mirrors people.
