I was at the Nordschleife this weekend and did 10 laps and it was simply crazy with crashes, yellow flag zones and heavy traffic in every lap. But the track is amazing and I will definitely return next year, but then it will be on a weekday and/or trackday as I already have the pace to do sub 8 minute laps.
Here is a picture of me entering the famous karrusell. I am sorry the car is so dirty, but I had no time washing it after 1000km in bad weather driving down there. |

What a lovely looking car,it’s awesome!!
Get a trackday booked for Nurburgring,it’s the way to go,tourist sessions are good mid week if you have plenty time to hang out and try grab a quiet lap.those 18” wheels are cool, how do they fit, square all round whew wise? |

They fit perfect with 12mm spacers at the front and 3.5 camber and no spacers at the rear. I now run 265/35 on the fronts and 295/30 on the rears. I hear Apex is going to make 10.5" wide rim also so I am probably going for 2 of those for the rear when they make them. At the ring I ran Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/35-19 and 275/35-19 on the original rims and it worked great. A very different feel compared to Trofeo R that I normally run on the track, but 1000km on the freeway and Autobahn and most of it in the rain I am glad I did not run Trofeo R. Next time I might have a follow car with more space or put my M2 on a trailer. Here is another picture from The Green Hell. Last edited by Andreas21; 09-21-2018 at 08:48 AM.. |

Actually I did not know you had to code the car, so I will check with my BMW mechanic. He knows I changed to this battery and did not tell me anything about coding. He told me something about registering when changing the battery, but not that I had to do anything. |

For now only the ESS tune that it already has, but I am annoyed by the 500+Hp monsters sometimes and cant keep up with them in a straight line. So I might do it later, but there is a lot of potential even with the power it has and it is not the power that restricts my laptime yet.

Didn't know they offered this. You flashed it yourself? Are you happy with the results? |
