Some interesting bits:

-New grill provides more than 40% additional air compared to OG M2.
-New bumper design also improve air intake around 10%.
-Overall 20% better cooling compared to the OG M2.

nice to see the black wheels in a video. what a difference the darkness makes. i kind of like them in dark, not in silver at all

it also makes me cringe when i see folks recording in portrait on the streets...cmon man! (as my toddler says)

I was 100% silver all the way but have changed my mind on light colors. Undecided on LBB or SO. BSM I think silver.

I saw the black wheels on an LBB car, but they were very dirty, so there was no shine from the face. They just looked matte black.

I am not getting the point on the exhaust : new dual pipes compared to mono pipes before ... The previous M2 had 4 pipes or am I wrong ?

"Improve" ? To put things into perspective BMW should also specify how much more air and cooling the M2C absolutely needs compared to the original M2.

Or are the % figures to be understood as the bare necessity increase for fitting the S55 inside the M2C ?

Be aware that often the things that are said are a necessity to get engine to run properly. They then convert it into a nice marketing talk, as if they reinvented the wheel

FvM's remark about power restrain due to the air intake and cooling capacity is perhaps not absolute.

What is absolute is he said 'we have to pay for performance'

That literally means to get the same power as the M4 we have to pay M4 money...which totally goes against the concept of an entry M model

The CS tune is available aftermarket though

Yes, "improve". Whether the car really needs that extra air or not, if the new bumper provides more air flow than the older one, it's an improvement.

Edit: Also, speaking of necessary cooling, I'm sure you are aware of the heat soaking issues with the bone stock N55 M2. I already witnessed 2 occasions where completely OG M2s went into limp mode at the track. There is even a video review by Matt Farah talking about this issue. So, that being said, OG M2 needs more cooling too even in its stock form. Therefore, air-to-water cooling of S55 and new front-end design allowing more air intake along with bunch of other changes are definitely improvements.

Wow they really are trying hard to justify the enlarged connected grill

Why do people still take pure marketing mumbo jumbo and repeat it like gospel as if everything said was such an impressive feat?

BMW aren't going to say "well guys, instead of redesigning the whole car, we messed up the original design and tacked on a new design front bumper on a old design language car because marketing said we have to, and had to put the engine in because of the new environmental regulations, please still buy it."

Are these people so insecure about buying the car that they need these things to comfort themselves into believing in having a weird front fascia, unusable power and horrible sound is a good trade off?
