Which colour 788M wheels did you order with Hockenheim Silver?

Silver or Black?

All the Pictures of the car so far have the Silver wheels, and I must admit, they do look pretty nice.

I went with black wheels though, as I figured that might be the colour scheme I'll end up with on the car, and it's already got quite a few black bits on it.

EDIT 6/13 - Added pictures off a configurator.

I would take Jet Black, although I would like to see one in this combination first.

I am undecided as well, not completely sold on HS with black wheel. The silver appears to be in darker shade..per some pictures online. However, it could be the lighting.

I know black will look great on this car, I'm just worried that let's say 5 years from now, the whole black wheel trend which has already been going on for years, will pass, and they will look dated…

One great thing about wheels is that you can easily update them and sell the old ones.

I think the silver will look great with HS - and then I can add CF bits to the car in other places to create additional contrast.

Black never goes out of style. If you want black get black. What do you think, you're going to enjoy the car but in five years when selling it you're going to get $600 less because it has black wheels? They don't even appear to be that black really.

Have I missed the pics of the black wheels? Everything I've seen so far has been silver faced.

There are at least some renders from the configerator.

I wasn't worried about resale value, just how it would look. I think black wheels hit mainstream like 5 to 10 years ago. I hardly remember them more than 10 years ago as commonplace. Now OEM's are even offering them.

I'm going to stick with black though. I'll put 35% tint on the taillights too, and the reflectors, so it will all look good. Thanks for the encouragement.

Those ones almost look gunmetal to me, which would be awesome. The press announcement said this about the wheels:

New 19-inch forged wheels (front: 9J x 19, axle 10J x 19) Y- spoke design in a high-sheen finish, and in two color options: light high-sheen (bi-color), or with a black front surface.

Always go silver. Black wheels can lack contrast at a distance. Wheel darker than tire mostly looks wrong to me.

To clarify: Do both of the wheels have black inserts? You are choosing silver or black face?

Yes, silver wheels have a gloss black finish on the rim sides. Only the outer facing side of the wheel is silver.

I would go silver on any color except AW.
Especially because they are two tone, so you get the best of both worlds. They have a bit of black on the rim side giving them that cool look, while keeping the shiny silver face for contrast and elegance.

I like Silver. Almost all low-end performance cars are offering black wheels now. It's time has passed IMO. I know I'll get roasted for posting this...

Inner old man yelling at cloud:

Fully black wheels are the worst design trend in automotive right now. Black inner pieces / partial - ok. Dark gray - ok. Full black - nope.

I don't know why people want to have a color that hides the details of the wheel and highlights the lighter black color of the tire.

Unable to find the actual picture of black 788 with HS, that's what I ordered, want to see a picture with two tone silver.

The fact they offer the M Performance 763M wheel in Jet Black (forget the gold), tells you where the money's at!

Might be true among the crowd that likes tacky decals and that trunk lid .

The satin type finish on those is better than your typical black wheel, though.
