LCI / iDrive 6.0 bug?

I posted this in the tech forum, but got no response - maybe somebody here has the same issue.

In a nutshell, the USB interface to classic iPods has very annoying startup behavior. Stutters on startup (the most annoying behavior) and fails to remember where it was after "sleep" (less annoying than the stutter, but annoying nevertheless). Worked great in my 2016 m235i -- seems to be a regression in my LCI M2. Once it gets past the startup bugs, it works just fine.

I am otherwise completely enthralled with the car - but this would not have passed QA in my shop.

Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

It happens sometimes on mine non/lci. Just take it out and plug it back in.
Works every time.

Thanks for the reply - but been there, tried that. Buggy behavior is very consistent. Happens 100% of the time.

Around 50x more 2-series models are sold than M2 models. You may want to try asking on the more popular: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=520

Not even sure why we have a "Navigation, iDrive, Audio, Video, Bluetooth, Phone, Cameras, Electronics" section for the M2, as 99% of the questions there are not M2-specific. It really is a huge waste of potential resources.

First check if your car has a software update...

If it's up to date and you're still having issues try force restarting your iPod.
