Congrats! I just called, recording says mine is still awaiting shipping vessel. Completion date was 9/20 & PCD set for 11/08

Really looking forward to everyone's posts in the weeks to come. My car finished production on 9/22 for ED on 10/13, so I have my fingers crossed that a few of us without Executive Package get hexagon Adaptive LED Headlights and other surprises!

When I called, the recording said it's at the port waiting a ship. But when I entered the VIN into Cargo ID of the WWL's Track and Trace page, it says it was loaded unto the the Thalatta.

Try searching this string on 2wglobal.com (WWL) tracking page:
WBS1J5C5%JVD% That should get you all of the wk37 and 38 (and later) that are in this VIN sequence. The %s are effectively a wildcard operator. The first % is necessary because there is a "check digit" in the VIN and you need to wildcard it if you are trying to get more than just a single car. You can add more digits to the end (before the %) if you want to be more specific -- I think we are all actually "JVD35xxx" but not 100 percent sure of that. My wk37 car made the Thalatta today and is due to hit Baltimore on Oct 7th.

Sweet...I will keep checking in each day.
I did WBS1J5C55JVD35% since my car is a C55 and VD35 series build. It dropped 50-60 cars down to 7 but none are mine... Then I just click on the "loaded on vessel" and it tells you what boat Last edited by horsepower_and_hounds; 09-25-2017 at 07:18 PM.. |

People would probably prefer you not list entire VINs in searchable form here, FWIW.
As I said before, the ninth character in the VIN is a "check digit." It's actually calculated based on other numbers in the VIN (including the sequence at the end). Just leave it as a % and it makes life easier. WBS1J5C5%JVD35% would get you all "VD35xxx" VINs currently in the system. You can also search your entire VIN in the Cargo ID field; that will find just your car... Some of us have been searching chunks in order to see if other VINs "around" our own (in sequence) have made it on a boat before our own car, which is why I mention the whole wildcard and check digit thing at all.

WWL updates their reporting more quickly than BMW's reporting. I'd have 99.99% confidence you are on Thalatta if WWL reports that you are. BMW will eventually catch up and report that you are on Thalatta.

It's the same for me. My car has been sitting there since the 22nd. Apparently we're screwed because the boats only go to Galveston twice a month, not once a week like the other main ports.

He said late October for Austin. Starting to think we’d be lucky to see them in early November. Fingers crossed, the wait has been excruciating.

it sounds as though the car is going to get here much sooner than what the dealer is anticipating. |
