Installed. Looks and fits great. Sound is amazing. After a 40 mile test of hard driving I didn't notice any hiccups or rough idle. Make sure to reconnect the vacuum line, don't disregard that like the instructions.

Will take another drive and see. Then I will install the tune.

It'll be interesting to see if you get a CEL. Keep us posted.

Just returned from another drive. My catless code just came back so that is good. Meaning the car has had plenty of time to register any intake issues.

It appears we have a glitch in the matrix. Very strange code!

Codes:
P120D: this is intake related
P0420: this is a normal catless code

I'll install JB4 and run mafless and will let you all know.

For now. A stock car with the vaccum line installed throws a code due to the intake. So will other intakes.

I'm intrigued that IND hasn't had any CELs with the Eventuri intake after 750 miles. Plus, it's sexy as HELL. Sure, it'll have minimal performance gains, as well as all these aftermarket intakes so it seems, but I'm a sucker for turbo intake sounds.

Im catless, w BMS intake...Also have an Enzo Tune (Beta Version)...So no CEL's

Just FYI, using torque to monitor IAT...BMS Intake took what was a few degrees over Ambient Temps and they skyrocketed 30-40*F....Def must have robbed power...

Built a heat shield, and planning on modifying stock of CF hood (ram air type intake)...But after shield temps came down to stock and lower while cruising...

Remember the intake is right above exhaust Manifold/turbo and heat rises

Well I see your in London and obv you guys drive rhd. But what many dont know is RHD vehicles the entire engine is the opposite way...I coukd be wrong in BMWs case (I could swear I did observe my exhaust manifold coming of my left side....

The reason I know at least some cars are configured diff...When i was 14-21 doing JDM (Japanese Domestic Motors) "Engine swaps" we were importing B Series VTEC engines from japan....Looked like a scrap yard cut em out w a sawzall, hedge clippers LOL...

BUT, many engines vital components were on the other side although Longblock/Tranny themselves were the same...Heres the catch, SOME, MOST if Memory serves corrrect, German cars I worked on, Engines were opposite way ...Transmissions were on the OPP sire on FWD Cars....Some Inline 4's that here had exhaust/turbo coming out the back here, had the exhaust manifold turbo in front of the engine...

Wow, I can talk....I shoulda just posted, look next time and tell me what you observe mine is in the shop 2 more weeks...LMK..

But either way the heat shield was highly affective and I think K &N or AFE have one that already has one...

GN...LMK what you find out,

Any new info to report here? Are people running aftermarket intakes? I'm looking at either AFE or Injen I think. Eventuri is awesome, but too expensive. BMS throws a CEL. Dinan?

Dinan would be good except it requires cutting to fit. Not a fan of that.

RIGHT SIDE - INTAKE

Mate- I was an ASE Certified Tech and engineering minor (physics major). Ran a High Performance shop and Tuned cars from scratch with Motec/Ecutek/Hondata professionally for 10 years.

If you read the quote of me YOU POSTED I state "I saw the exhaust manifold (turbo) on Left"

I think it was a bad choice of words on what saying intake right above exhaust...It is technically above the exhaust and heat does rise. Just on other side of engine.

Thanks for the personal demeaning comment though about me being from a cloud. That was mature and called for. I'm taking a wild guess that your on the younger side (hopefully) or a "grown man" that didn't quite develop as fast as those around him....

either way. Learned a lot from your constructive post

If you are going to quote/re-quote - do not add words that aren't there in the quote ie "(turbo)" !!

So wrong - I'm in my 50's, a father of 2 boys, a governor at my kids secondary school, coach and referee rugby in my spare time, Fellow Of Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Chartered Engineer and a long time car and bike owner/fettler/amateur motorsports participant on 4- &2-wheels ie I would be a wealthy man were it not for the I.C.E.

You attempt a wise-crack at my expense is very poor. Anyway, that's all from me on ths so jog-on, nothing more to see here.

Reviving a stale thread, can anyone chime in whether or not the AWE carbon intake would be a direct fitment for the F87? I assume it mates up fine given most F22 intakes are compatible with our M2s.
