I was gonna downplay on a daily car in addition to M2, but seeing you guys having nice second cars in the garage, I might go STI/type R route for my second car too lol.

I kept my 15 WRX Limited for winter duty. I've always just daily driven my "fun" car, but decided it's time to keep a second one around so I can break the "fun" car and still have a ride to work. Plus, I won't have to worry about finding winter rims that'll clear those huge 15" rotors. It sucks wasting a second car's worth of space in the garage but I think keeping the M2 out of the winter elements will be worth it since I live in the rust belt.

I'd be scared to park that close to the stang, you never know when it will jump the curb and smash into your other cars

Yeah, I feel you man. The amount of road debris that is out there during the winter up north will be worrisome for me too. I think you are making a right choice keeping the M2 in the garage for the winter. It might be a hassle for you to keep the car maintained while not driving though I believe. In my case, I mostly commute on a highway and being in Florida, after driving on a highway one day, your car front gets swarmed by all kinds of bugs (especially love bugs). My plan is to daily drive a car for whole week except one day to drive M2 and wash the M2 right away after driving to keep the paint condition pristine (plan to put PPF anyway tho). For that reason, I wanted to get some cheap brand new manual beater (One of those Japanese base sedan with manual), but I might go STI or TYPE R route seeing all those nice cars in the garage haha. I'm #5 on my dealer's waiting list, so future is uncertain for me.

Thanks! The issue I have is a good one, but a #1stworldproblem nonetheless - I honestly don't know where to go next from here. I think the next worthwhile jump is straight to something that is a long, long, long way away financially, like a 570S. I am pretty much completely satisfied, other than wanting to modify both cars a bit more.

IMHO, the R is a great all around daily. Enough power to enjoy in the streets and can fit 3 baby seats

hahaha first world problems it is! The R can make some really nasty power with a tune and DP as well it could easily give the M2 a run for her money!

Wow El Ban didn't know you were a big Honda guy. I'm actually still driving my very first car for the past 10 years. 2000 Honda Civic SI. I love the car but it's getting old and time for an upgrade. The M2 will be by 2nd car so it's gonna be a hell of an upgrade for me!

I have had the following:

91 Accord with a JDM H22 full sleeper
91 CRX with a ZC Swap
Two 87 CRXs
94 del Sol with a Mini Me Swap
A 94 del Sol with an OEM B16 which went thru 4 engines since it was my dedicated track car
A 2000 CRV
A 2008 Acura TL picked up brand new off the lot which was my daily for 6 years
And currently these two CRXs

I live and breath Honda but I love anything motoring.. got it from my Dad and he had tons of Domestics..

I appreciate any gear hear regardless make and model..

The M2 is my first BMW!

@toastie

ITRs are hard to come by and once you have it they are prey to thiefs!

S2Ks I have driven them but find them cramped!

But could try to live with an AP2!
