Any tall guys with an m2?

I drove the m2 at mtrackdays, i am 6`3 275lbs, i really like the car but i was on it for not to long, i wonder how big guys feel after driving the car for a few days, do you still find it comfortable?, do you feel the car is too small?

I'll be one of the tall guys with an M2 in a couple of months, currently driving a Subaru WRX and I compared the interior measurements, nothing crazy different. I even did a 15 hour road trip in it so I'm expecting the M2 to be just fine for a tall person, I'm 6'4 btw.

I don't fit. I really don't like the ergonomics for my build.

6'3 225 here and I fit, but it's not super comfortable. I feel cramped in the leg area to be honest. I've had my car since April and I've gotten used to the smaller cabin space, but it's still not that comfortable. My biggest gripe is that I can't find the perfect seating position. This is not my DD, I have a Honda Accord that has a ton of space, so I can definitely tell a difference in cabin space. Don't get me wrong, I love the car, just wish I had a tad bit more space to move, haha.

6'4" 198 here and i have the seat all the way back and lowered, comfortable ride to me and i like how small the car feels. I hate large cars which all my friends think is weird. They think i should be driving a big ass truck or a Buick lol

Thanks for the info guys, i have a e92 335i, at initially i felt the cabin was pretty much the same as my car, but again i drove the car for only 10 minutes, then i jumped in to m3/4/5 and my mind was off space wise.

I'm 6'5"...and I've just sold my M135i to buy the M2 (mines getting built as we speak...hoping for mid-Sep delivery) and I never felt uncomfortable in my M135i so expect the M2 to be no different.

To be honest, I'm was just as comfortable in the M135i as I am in my Range Rover Sport.

I wouldn't be concerned about it if i was you

This stuff really comes down to your individual build and tolerance level. I'm 6'3" 205 pounds, but have a long torso. So even with the seat all the way down I want to drop it another 2-3 inches. I just sit too high in the car, but this is way better than any alternative cars so I deal with it. At least there's no sunroof! I tried to get manual seats even as a special upgrade, but my dealer couldn't do anything. There's no way I could track the car comfortably without modding the seat position.

The other issue is that the lower seat bolster seems too narrow for my build and I'm not even that big of a guy. My thighs are sitting on the seat bolsters, not between them when I relax. I've even got a slender build, but the seat seems like it's just in general a narrow seat. It's like the seat was made for a 140 pound person.

see that my issue that i will have to be seating on the bolsters like that, i need to go to a dealer and sit down in one again, i jumped from M to M so i cant recall how good or bad the seats were on the m2, i just know that i really like the way the car drives.

Not super tall at 6'1" 185lbs here. I sit with a fairly upright seating position and I have more than a full fist above my head, but I am more legs than torso. Seats seem to fit me very well and are extremely supportive for long trips. I drove over 12 hours from Pittsburgh, PA to Erie, PA and back to Virginia in June and had no complaints.

My experience as a Human Factors Engineer is that seat comfort is a very personal thing and it is hard to get right for every person. Try ordering office chairs for 100+ workstations, a seat that people often spend more time in than their cars.

See if they have a demo or rental with the sport seats you can take for a day. They use the same seats in many vehicles so you should be able to get some time in the seats.

Yeah, I'm a fairly lean build though, 100KGs / 225 points...and 6'5". But fit in absolutely fine, to the point where I really dont think it's a topic for discussion / never thought to talk about it.

Remember, Germans are a tall race so they do try to accommodate

Garage List
2008 BMW 135i  [8.66]
There's plenty of room for tall guys. I'm 6"4' and have a135i. I only need to put the seat back 1/2 To 3/4 of the way. If I put the seat back all the way I can't reach the pedals properly. Not too much room in the back seat though. There's a lot more leg room than my Subaru Forester which I need to put the seat back all the way. I also have a sunroof and headroom is no problem.

When I took the M2 for a test drive there was more room than the 135i therefore there shouldn't be a problem for tall guys.

I'm 196 cm tall and I even have ample room for my helmet when on track.

The specs for the car put front headroom at 40.1" which is pretty amazing for a compact coupe. Even the e90 3 series only had 37.5. There arent many other cars of comparable size/build/performance that competes on headroom. For comparison the 2016 F150 has 40.8" headroom up front.

BMW loves tall people, buy it and enjoy it. - 6'5", 34" inseam
