Jason Did BMW ever put the LBB, MG, AW, and BSM next to each other so the journalists at Laguna Seca could take photos of them for color comparison? That's what I really need to make a final decision.

I think the gray, even metallic gray, looks best in lower light situations, and great at night under the lights. Direct sunlight tends to wash it out. Since I live pretty far north, and in a place with a lot of overcast, this is the color for me.

I walked around a MG M3 at a Stealer in person recently. That did it. Understated, just how I want it. You can sex it up if you want by blacking it out with wheels, tint, grills, etc. Not sure whether I will do that or not just yet.

I have to be honest. I was in love with MG, but seeing pics, and a few in person, it is a pretty boring colour. I think it looks far better on something like an M4 as the body is longer and looks a bit more menacing. The M2, with it's shorter wheelbase, looks odd in MG.

I just switched my order back to LBB. If the white was the Mineral Metallic White, I would have gone with that. AW is blah.

EDIT: BTW, BMW Melbourne has a colour palette with LBB on it. I finally got to somewhat see it in person, and it is a nice colour.

FYI, here is an M3 in Mineral Metallic White. Very nice colour if you ask me.

Well then, enjoy LBB.

I think it's hard to use another model as reference to how the M2 MG will look. I had a SGM 135i, was only available in the first model year. I think that car looked great in that color, but on a 3er it was extremely bland, that car didn't have the shoulder lines to highlight that color. Same can be said for LBB, in the X4M it looks like a cartoon, on the M2 it's aggressive with a touch of flash.

I think MG is going to look awesome on the M2. For an enthusiast looking to ride a bit more subtle than the LBB.

Also my point of view.

The M2 is not a subtle car, a less subtle color doesn`t change that IMHO

This car NEEDS a sparkling color........that is what this car is al about!!

When you see people walk down the street some are dressed in more flamboyant clothing, some more conservative. There is not a right or wrong to it. It just is.

I like the understated looks of the MG.

On a non M car, I completely agree. But on an M car with wider flares, it really transforms MG in my opinion. Plus you can mod the car to look classyand aggressive at the same time if that makes any sense.

Having said that, I think I prefer AW over MG on this particular car now

I'm wavering between MG and BSM. The stealth/ultimate wraps would look great on either color.

Out of those 2, I'd go with MG personally. With the M3/4, I've noticed that the dark colors hide the lines more than any other color, and sometimes I even mistake them for non-M's if I'm just glancing quickly.

But of course, choosing a color is about as personal as it gets.

If it was this color in bright sunlight it would be perfection.

I would say that is close to it in bright sunshine. MG looks awesome indoors and in the sun but in my opinion it is so boring it hurts in all other conditions and unfortunately the other conditions is all the car would experience in my county.
