M2 Exhaust Trim
One of the first mods for me would be to dechrome. IND will surely offer the grills and badges but looking for options on the tailpipe trims!
Anybody know the pipe dia. For sure?, thinking the standard black chrome tips from the M235i may fit. The M3 / M4 version will not fit as they are slant cut rather than straight cut as on M2. |

Looking for off the shelf OEM look solution. If this is not achievable then i would buy a second set of M2 tips and have them blach chrome plated.
I have M235i at present and the black chrome tips look great but not sure if they would fit. |

Also, is it an option installed at the factory or at the dealer? Thanks! |

They dont do the MPE at the factory, its either port or dealer installed. Thats the case with all M-performance parts. |

I'm not saying your wrong but my dealer recently had an individual M3 with factory fitted M Performance Parts. When I put put down my deposit for the M2 the head sales guy showed me over it and that was one of the distinct things I remember what he told me. Maybe it depends upon the market region?

This is correct... the car normally arrives at the dealer with the performance parts installed but they are done at port and not at BMW. This is why many think BMW installed the part as it shows up already installed.

"The focus is on sound improvement (and aesthetics) with this exhaust. The choice of stainless steel was made with the M2's price segment in mind" I'm pretty sure everything is covered by a BMW Warranty as it's all their own product. M Performance Parts can be fitted by the dealer or by the factory (I've seen an Individual M3 with them factory fitted) however whether the factory will be fitting M2 M Performance parts I don't know. ***EDIT*** Quote:
