Z4M Custom Exhaust
I forgot how old i'm getting and got magnaflows installed on my Z4M Coupe 2 days ago. I'm willing to part with it for $600 if someone is interested (plus cost of removal at a shop). It has flanges on them so you can swap out with your stock by just unbolting it. The tips are 3mms larger than the stock but has the same setup where the inside pipes are out slightly more than the outer ones. I'll post pics up later today. The cans are painted black and tips are shiney stainless steel. We can swap out tomorrow if you can find a muffler shop that's open. I'm in West LA.
Cheers, Mike |

hahaha. Well, I'd think about it, but I've got my eye on a custom exhaust.

This is the one I'm looking at, if not something similar anyway. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...g+tale&page=11

its exactly the same setup. Magnaflow with dual tips and it hooks up to the oem flange location. No welding needed to install. Its just that mind i had them paint the cans flat back. Same size tips.

He redid all the pipes too. Saved about 30 lbs. Check the previous thread page.

I'm in SoCal as well, can I get an undershot of the setup? Is it axle back//1st resonator back? I think this would fit on my 3.0Si as well but an underbody shot would help me decide for sure. Definitely interested. Thanks, I could probably hook it up with a y-pipe or a 2nd resonator x-pipe.

I'll try to take a shot of the underside tomorrow but i doubt it will fit your car unless you cut the flanges off. I specifically had them custom weld a flange on so that you can the cans are now bolted on rather then welded on. Meaning you can swap back to your stocks by unbolting 2 nutts.

Well I was thinking if I use a y-pipe I can use one of the two mufflers and then it would bolt up to my stock muffler location? I think I could figure out a custom way to mount it, if a picture isn't too much trouble that'd be great. Thanks

When last I spoke with Chris he told me to tell people it would be around $1500 for the cans (Stage 1), and about $750 each for the x-pipe (Stage 2) and cat-delete section (Stage 3). Except that I don't believe the Stage 3 will be offered until they/we are able to figure out how to keep the top end. |

-It probably sounds very, very similar, at least on a computer. Most of the sound comes from the cans. At WOT the x-pipe changes the sound though.
