Non OE rotor options
I was looking at some two piece front rotor options to save weight and increase cooling.....I came across this RB rotor:

Does GiroDisc make rotors for our cars? If not, I can work with them to see if they would do it - I don’t see why not. They worked with me a few years ago to do a prototype for the TT RS. Now many RS guys who track their cars run GiroDisc.

I did reach out to them, since I'm in Seattle. Apparently they didn't have any F80/87 rotors at that time (last year-ish). I also volunteered my car as a test mule if they needed, but haven't heard back from them since.

I sent a email to Giro Disc to see if they would consider producing an option for our cars. I will report back what they say. From what I hear they produce great products for a reasonable cost.

I’m going to GiroDisc this Sunday morning to have them test fit their rotors. I’ll take pictures and report back to this group. I worked with them to build rotors for my TT RS a few years ago. Their rotors solved my overheating issue on track and allowed me to keep that car. The stock M2 rotors seem a lot better than Audi RS stock ones, so while the upgrade may not be as great for cooling, GiroDisc will be lighter.

I spent the morning at GiroDisc in Bellingham to have them test fit their initial prototype rotors. These are NOT production rotors; finish and anodization will be perfect on production ones. Looks like GiroDisc is lighter, had more vanes and higher volumetric capacity.
GiroDisc rotors have been phenomenal on my TT RS track car with close to 400awhp and a touch under 3300lbs. I am looking forward to these being production ready. They will be awesome on the M2 with the large rotors front and rear. What's up with so much rust on the rear hub on a car with less than 500 miles and one that's been parked inside. GiroDisc test fit on the front looks good. Weighs less too GiroDisc test fit on the rear and it looks good Weighs less too |

Stoptech front rotors
I just received the Stoptech front two piece rotors from Turner. They look good and weigh 23/10 vs 25 for OE. I will install them this week and test them at Sebring in May. The fact that they claim 60% more air flow , are lighter and only slightly more expensive than OE appears to be a descent upgrade.
