Happy with the harness. I only hear real sounds from my M.

The best bet is the harness if you want get the most improvement -- the ASD module is a power amp in series with the stereo amplifier which distorts all audio. If you don't want to remove the trunk liner and/or don't like DIY work then coding is lower effort but doesn't improve audio performance just eliminates ASD.
I'd recommend the harness. |

Guys anyone wants to do a groupbuy and get them shipped to Europe?
I definitely need this for my car. When the radio is off, I hear a slight noise on the speakers and I think - after reading all here - it might well be the ASD playing up. Anyone here who noticed it? MR |

He must have run out of connectors. That sucks for everyone still living with the ridiculously obnoxious ASD in these cars. Faced with a weeks long wait I'd probably code to tie me over if I didn't already have the harness. |

Bypassed the ASD. I consider it a definite provement. In routine driving the ASD was too much. The engine still sounds great. I have nothing against artificial sound in theory, but it started to sound like white noise and was giving me a headache. The instructions provided are totally accurate. I try to avoid do it your self projects but found this one necessary. I was able to install the harness without too much trouble.
Pointers I can provide: 1. When removing the grey casing from the wiring in the car withe the pic/awl remember there are two separate pieces inside. First release one side and then the other. 2. When plugging in the harness to the ASD initially the black lever should be all the way up. Once it is plugged in it will slide down a bit and then you can slide it all the way down and lock it in place. Thanks for the info. It is a great car and now even better. |

Anyone here who had his ASD bypass harness shipped to Europe? I tried to order it at Technic PNP, but they do not allow shipments to Europe.

Fixed it, sending it to NL instead of CZ.

I thougt that in sport and sport + the exhaust of the M2 also got louder (flaps inside) then in comfort. Is this only ASD that makes the sound level change between comfort, sport, sport +?

I thought the flap only opens under hard acceleration even in Sport/Sport+? I could be wrong. I disconnected the valve on mine to hold it open.
