Adaptive LEDS standard for 2018?

Just placed an order for a 2018 (production starting 4th week of July) and my order sheet WITHOUT exec pkg says adaptive LEDS. This seems contrary to what has been circling on this site. Hope it's not a misprint. I was perfectly happy without but for freeninetyfree I'll take it.

That's what I thought also. The order sheet was printed at BMW Seattle after I placed the order and none of the others line items that normally come with the exec pkg is on there. Here's the original order sheet before I made my adjustments.

A clearer pic of the final order sheet

On your order sheet, it (552) is listed as both an option and as part of Exec pkg.. I dont see where it says its a standard feature.

I guess I'm misinterpreting it. As far as I knew it only came as part of the exec pkg so since it was listed I thought it was going to be on the car. Maybe it's available as a stand alone option. I'm indifferent anyhow. I'm just happy to finally move from from the waiting list. On a side note, I test drove the DCT for the first time and as you can see from the order sheet I'm sold on it. Freaking awesome transmission!

Who knows.. .Maybe in some markets its available as a separate option, or maybe its just the way the form reads. The main point is either way, you gotta pay!

On my order sheet (no Exclusive), it says the Adaptive LEDs are included at N/C. There's nothing else on the sheet that's not included as far as I know, so on the face of it they should be on the car. I may be at 155 on Monday, so I'll have my CA check again then. My BMW and the Genius are way behind.

Definitely update us. I'm scheduled for week 38 and opted for the exec package mainly for the adaptive LEDs.

Here's what my order looks like.. Wonder why we're seeing such different treatment of the adaptive LEDs on these order sheets:

I checked with my CA, and the order, as confirmed by the factory, includes the adaptive LED headlights at N/C. (I am not getting the Executive Package.) In his opinion after dealing with the BMW factories for many years, this means they'll be on the car. YMMV...

According to the 2018 BMW M2 Coupe (F87) Pricing Guide Adaptive LED Headlights (552) which are hexagonal in design are only included with the Executive Package (ZEC). LED Headlights (5A2) are standard, but do not get the hexagonal design.

All I can report, right or wrong, is what I saw on the CA's screen myself, and my confirmed order shows the 552 LEDs as a separate, no-cost line item. I would suggest that maybe the M2 ordering info may be wrong, and that the media info you posted applies strictly to the 2 Series. Plus, the PR, marketing and production folks often don't talk to each other about every detail, so I guess we'l just have to wait and see which LEDs my car is delivered with in about a month. Ironically, I couldn't care less which LED headlights it has, as long as they're LEDs.

You won't have to wait that long, once the configurator for MY18 is up on bmwusa.com we'll all know for sure.

P.S. If you're getting a MY18 there's no way it will be in a month. Production doesn't start until July 17th.

The July 17 date that's been around for many months is no longer in effect. Production for MY18 has already started, and my car will be built July 7 (Week 27). About 30 MY17 orders were changed to MY18 vehicles, but the reason has not been made public.

Where are you getting your info from regarding start of production for MY18? As far as why some MY17's were changed to MY18 that has been well known for some time now, Supply problems hit production at BMW.

What do you want - a signed, notarized statement from someone in leather shorts in Leipzig? It seems like a confirmed production order at 150 that says Week 27 and a Build Date of July 7 should be enough!

BTW, there's someone else around here who is Week 28.

As a fellow forum member all I'm doing is politely asking for information. The adaptive headlights you say are standard directly contradict everything that's been publicized by BMW. That's not to say you are wrong, just that it's odd since everything else says otherwise. Also this is the first I've heard that the SOP could have been moved up from July 17th to this week, July 3rd and so I'm once again asking what your source is. Seems like you're taking this as some sort of personal attack (which it is not), I'm just seeking further clarification on the matter. Sorry I asked (and won't again), hope you get your car soon.

Just for the record, I'm not saying anything. I am only reporting information provided to me by what should be a reliable source. There have been a few other posts here on the July 7 date and the advanced first date of production. Imagine my surprise about 10 days ago when the first order confirmation came through showing Week 27 or 28!

And I agree completely that there's a contradiction in the info on the LED lights - and frustration that there's been no public confirmation of production dates, beyond what's apparently been sent to CAs representing buyers who have confirmed orders seemingly already in production.

That's what makes all of this so much fun and incredibly frustrating at the same time, right?
