Picked it up last week and I've been in enjoying every second of it!

Initially had an April allocation for an AW 6MT. Dealer called me 2 weeks ago; told me they had a cancellation in a different spec.

- 2017 M2
- DCT
- LBB
- Msport Exhaust
- No sunroof

I was hesitant getting rid of the m3 to jump into an m2. I loved the rawness, 6mt and the sound of the v8. The hardest part was going from 6MT to DCT (never owned a non-manual car before). After 300km of driving; I'm VERY satisfied of the M2 and LOVE the DCT transmission. The M2 and DCT go VERY well together. Quick shifts, feels light, neutral and predictable handling.

Mods for next summer:

- H&R Springs
- Spacers all around
- Black grill, side grills, colored reflectors, light tints, coding etc...
- DP + Flash???

- Pagid yellow pads (Track)
- 18" Wheels + Nitto NT01 (Track)

Short answer: YES

Day 2 day driving: I prefer the m2 in every way. Smaller, new technology, feels lighter, more comfortable and amazing sound (those crackles when you let off the gas ). But..... nothing can compare to the noise of the v8 coming out of the e92 m3 with an exhaust mod.


Performance & handling: Power is GOOD & DCT is VERY quick. Haven't broken the car in yet & have yet to bring it on the track. Can't wait to see what this thing does on Rcomp tires & track pads.

If you are going with flash, i recommend you do all your mods first and then ask for the perfect map.

Nice upgrade! .. now maybe you can get that pesky LSB M3 out of the rear view mirror ... it was following your E90 M3 * everywhere *
