slight emergency, lost bit underneath ECU compartment

Does anybody know what lies underneath the plastic ECU housing? I managed to drop a bit that in between the plastic ECU housing and the car frame. It went down and I'm pretty sure is resting underneath the plastic housing somewhere. I can't see it and my attempts at getting a magnet down there have not gotten it back.

I'm installing my USB cable for my JB3. Can the plastic ECU housing completely be taken out with the removal of all the gromets?

Couldn't you use one of those magnetic extension wands? They are like the paw/tool grab things.... but with a magnet on the end. Its a flexable metal spring like extention rod.

Is there enough room down there to maneuver such a removal tool?

Well, after a few hours I pulled the entire plastic CPU tray in order to get to it. If anybody is curious, the 4 bolts that had it in are T30 bits.
