I think they only released those figures once the chassis has concluded production in its entirety.

I think worldwide production ended (or precovid at least was scheduled to end) Dec 31st 2020.
Had it confirmed by BMW that they took 105 units for UK builds. (Don't know colours/splits etc as they wouldn't confirm anything beyond the number total) |

My understanding was this was a MY20-only production. Therefore, I'm assuming end of 2020 => end of production

I'd expect BMW to just keep making CS M2's until they quit producing the entire 2-series line later this year. This is speculation on my part so i may be wrong, but if I were a betting man, i'd bet BMW just releases production numbers on the entire M2 lineup later in the fall of 2021. |

Remember the LTW's? They could barely sell 125 back in the day. Hilarous looking back now. E30 M3 they made over 17,000 of them. Both those models are BMW Legends, and this one is a legend in the making if you ask me.

That's what I also heard several times from several sources.
M2CS production is MY20 only and last day of production was December 31, 2020. Having said that, I've also heard in an interview with Marcus Flasch where the interviewer referred to the production not in terms of 2200 exactly but something like "around 2200" which as AlpsRider explained leaves room for much speculation. my personal take is this: 1) EU-destined production ceased on August 31, 2020 due to emissions legislation. Therefore, even if they were to produce more, none could be sold in EU if S55 is still running the car. Although possible, it's highly improbable that BMW would build more with S58 engines. So Europe is out. we already know US allocation went up from 400s to 500s already, so unlikely for big increases there as well (though still possible). 2) there have been two seperate periods (and I'm guessing here) totalling say six weeks where the BMW factories were shut. Assuming they were running at full capacity when reopened, there would have been a backlog of order fulfillment being pushed through. Consequently if they were behind by 6-weeks to begin with, I would imagine they would have a hard time fulfilling those orders let alone any others over 2200. 3) Multiple sources have reported MY20 production ending on 31 December 2020. Extending this timeline is the only way they could keep rolling out beyond that date. However if the factory was supposed to be shut down as you have suggested, then that option is also moot. Conclusion I arrived at, is that there might be 2200 give or take a couple of hundred. I'm thinking somewhere between 2100 and 2200. This is just an opinion and stands to be corrected

I am asking my salesman now if he can check their ordering system to see if they are even able to configure a CS order in the system, or if that capability has been removed. Might help answer that question and verify production has ended 12/31...although I feel, as others do, that it already has. Might not be a definitive answer, but could help some at least. Of course without an allocation, that might not be possible in the first place.
EDIT: Just heard back from the salesman...their person in charge of placing orders said production has finished. It is no longer in their ordering system. Just passing along what I was told. |

Here is how you calculate the total number of 2020 BMW M2 CS in Cyprus:
Step 1: Hold our your right or left hand Step 2: Raise one finger only (middle finger works) Step 3: Count how many fingers are up Step 4: Smile if you haven't already knowing you have the only 1 Step 5: drive the wheels off of it.
