Cleaning m performance carbon exhaust tips (for OG MPE)

Hi all,

Pardon if it's a silly question but can anyone confirm if the metal cylinder under the carbon m performance exhaust tip is stainless steel or titanium?

Im referring to the part as per the below link:
https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...m4-18302358110

I've tried looking around but haven't been able to confirm anywhere. I know titanium tips (without the carbon) were available for the mpe but I do recall reading someone mentioning that the carbon ones are based on the titanium tips just with the carbon wrapped around.

Reason why I'm asking is that I'm looking to clean the metal portion of my m performance carbon tips and my local auto shop has told me if they are indeed titanium that I should use something more specialised and softer than the autosol that I was going to use.

The help would be much appreciated or if anyone can chime in if they've used autosol without any issues for their carbon mpe tips.

Well, probably best to not use the Autosol on the CF? Titanium is probably not going to notice...

Apologies I should have clarified that I'm looking to clean the metal portion of the tips with autosol.
