How long till you scraped your front Bumper?

It took me about 2 weeks. Normally I'd have been really upset with myself for not being careful, but I was barely moving and hit this one. Can't see it unless you look under the bumper, but It was my "OFFICIAL" first damage.

Car's great, about 500 miles and 3 trips to the dealer for a messed up taillight. But other than that I am loving it.

What was wrong with the tail light? Did you have a warning indicator inside?

I scraped my bumper on a parking block thing. I have no one to blame but myself, obviously, but it was a stupid mistake. I felt horrible and still feel horrible about it. Never again..

What's funny is I was parked in another spot before this happened. I decided to park in a "better" spot to avoid dings/scratches and got in my car to move it. As I was inching into the spot, screech. No room for mistakes in this world. Little did I know the irony of this would bite me in the *** without remorse.

I do everything in my power to keep my car scratch free and ONE stupid mistake has to ruin it all. That's life, I guess.

TiAg...was that with an Aero Front or the standard lip? Either way....makes you cringe inside as you drive over it ...and when you stick it in reverse.

Standard...yeah, putting it in reverse was the WORST part..I couldn't stand to hear my baby wail and cry..

I was scratch free for about 7 months..really, really, really sucks. It's amazing how mcuh damage can happen as such a slow speed. Momentum is a b*tch. I was going myaybe 1-2mph.

True. Plastic is cheap and resilient. Bad part is under the paint the bumper is black. I wish the bottom lip was detachable and the aero lips could replace it. Instead they are just slapped on. I wish I could just replace it.

2 weeks. CRAP! Right corner. Then yesterday I noticed a small
"push in" spot on my roof and on the hood. WTF! Now I can't stop thinking about the bruises. Dent DR. ? Any one had luck good or bad with them? I have splitters on the way. Will I have to sand down the scar tissue for snug fit? Led I am gonna run this av for a few days. Hope to not cause confusion. :rocks:

I think it's close to impossible to keep a DD scratch/dent free. You are fighting too many variables...weather, inconsiderate punks (keying), other people who can't drive, road work, and human nature to make mistakes (unless your perfect, which you probably aren't).

As long as I'm not in an accident I am OK..

2"x2" scrape on lower left corner (3 days).

I scrap underneath everyday.

Wow sorry about your bumper. I am not planning on scraping mine..... And you won't if you are use to driving low clearence cars..... Your driving habbits change dramatically! One thing that amazes me is that some people have to pull all the way into the parking spots until the front wheels touch the side walk or the concrete block which usually = a nice scrape....

This is one of me fav shots of my old car (hence my avatar). No scrape after 11 years......

This is my first low car...always have been driving SUV's..

I will learn from this and when and if I get my dream car (E92 M3) she will be scrape free

Also, I'm sure the 335i E92 is lower than the Volvo.

You will get use to it..... E92 might be lower than Volvo but 850R's have longer bumper which increases the chance of a scrape compared to E92.... The BMW clears my driveway much easier than the Volvo did....

Lols brother. I'm crying with you...not at you. Been there ....just not with this car yet. Bound to happen. Just got to remain cognitive and alert when parking the rocket.

Good lesson though....until it happens again.

Stuff happens man...hopefully we learn from our stupid mistakes. It has nothing to do with not knowing how to drive...it's just that some of us aren't used to low cars. I'll probably never scrape my bumper again, that's how pissed I was that day.. lol
