The true kicker that will settle this debate:

Most die hard car manual advocates don't ride or cannot ride motorcycles; which means the manual experience can only be had in a car.

For both 2 and 4 wheeler enthusiasts, it is easier to choose a DCT if they needed, as the manual shifting ritual can be had in the later evening in a different style.

(Sometime I do think heel toe shift look like someone with down syndrome trying to drive properly.)

Case Closed.

^ what?

I ride and I drive. I always choose a manual vehicle if the option exists. Saying that I’ll get my gear shifting fix on [just] a bike is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve read on a car forum. Not to mention whatever other non-sense you wrote there that I’m not gonna address. You, sir, are incorrect.

Haha probably. I don’t even remember posting that comment, but I recognize my work.

I also ride motorcycles. Competitively obviously. Still chose the manual.

If I got the car for serious track work, I would of choose a DCT tho. I was ready to ‘settle’ for a DCT after test driving one too.

Honestly, I think they’re both cool options. But only one comes with a funny stigma to make fun of.

I recently had the opportunity to do a few laps at VIR. I've always tracked MT cars, but nothing as "jaunty" as the M2C. There were a few times I needed to change gears when I would've been happier having both hands on the wheel.

That said, I still prefer driving the MT, but I can readily see why a DCT would be compelling for track work on something as fast and twitchy as the M2C.

Just got my m2c. For a long time i wrestled with mt or dct. Having had many MT cars. So i ended up with a Dct m2 comp 2019. F me, both hands on the wheel. It doesnt disappoint and to be honest i dont miss the mt. Nice in traffic as well. If u want a manual go for it but driving the dct in manual mode just brings a smile. Last car that did that was the subaru sti. M2c crushes that car. Guess times change .

Same route for me, Subaru STi 6MT -> M2C DCT, no regrets so far. MT was fun, but DCT is so quick when you want it to be and so easy when you need it to be (early mornings with coffee in hand).
