He is in the EU so he should run a mid-SAPS oil if he has OPF. So, VMP, RUP, or VMO. I like VMP personally, 3.7 HTHS still for such low KV100.

I always have mi ravenol vmo and above all the price is very low per liter of this oil with very good quality HTHS 4 and 100° 13'3 the VST has PAO which vmo does not have and VMP and indeed a good alternative with 100° at 11'9 and hths at 13'7 but it's 5W30
I take the m2C sometimes to the Nürburgring 5/8 times a year I think it's better to keep the HTHS as high as possible?
I would use the RUP or VST then if you are going to be on track, although I think VMP is still good. RUP is mid-SAPS but they position it as better than VST so I have no reason to doubt them. I don't think VMO is bad but it seem to be focused more as a diesel oil.

At least we don’t have to worry about this new BMW oil.

I wonder how that performs. I wouldn't feel comfortable w/ that in my vehicle.

I don't have a choice, if I don't use 0w-8 I'll void my warranty, and I don't want to do that on my expensive new car haha...
