Still having this issue even after dealer updated to latest istep F020-19-07-539. No audible alerts on Waze or text messages. |

So I took my M2 in for an oil change today and mentioned again that I am not getting audible notifications for Apple CarPlay only visual. They gave me a loaner car which was a 2020 330i and CarPlay notifications worked like it should. They said they updated the software and I picked up my car and still had same issue. They kept the car overnight and said they tested it with a few other M2's and M3 and said those cars exerted the same issue. They basically alluded to that M Cars with the current iDrive don't have the audio notifications. Only the newest iDrive 7.2 will. I find that hard to believe. What's weird is if I set a destination on Waze and start the route, the entire route audible notifications works. That is the k let time it will work otherwise it's only visual so I miss a lot of texts.
