I used a drill with a cutting bit to do most of the work then a half round file by hand to finish so I didn’t overdo it. I found removing just the beveled part of the oem plastic (as you look from inside the boot) leaves a hole size that is a perfect tight fit on the Raceseng adaptor, the boot will stay up against the knob base without using the cable tie.
