It is the same exact ancillary systems. Cooling rads/intercoolers are all identical to all other S55 variants.
I remember reading the M3/M4 bumper allowed more airflow over the OG M2. So BMW M set out to redesign the front bumper for the Competition, with improved airflow to feed additional S55 radiators. The new one piece grill is functional, increased airflow over twin kidneys by 40%. Lower grill openings are larger as well.
