Sup guys, just gauging some interest here.
My family’s 3rd annual Carolina Motorsports Park “Speedfest” open track day is set for 7/25. The format is to bring what you want to run, M cars, Porsches, race cars, etc, will all be there. We’ll break up the run groups based on experience, parade laps for kids, cater in BBQ lunch, etc. Right now, there is no cost to attend, I just need to get a feel for your track experience, and understand that this is a fun friends/fam event, not an uptight HPDE or racing event.
The highlight is the annual track battle b/n my Uncle and myself. In corner #1, a heavily modified, supercharged (640hp), Turner Motorsports prepped E93 M3 (yes, a convertible!). In corner #2 a heavily modified M2 with a bad ass driver (hahah, me
). My Uncle won the first year. Then, I upped my M2 mods & driving skills, and showed him up last year. He was pissed. He won’t tell me what he’s doing to his car this year, so it should be interesting…This year I’ve got more power, more cooling, and some fat 305/30s for the rear, so I think he’ll need a GT3 to pull this one off. Hah!
I also have some connections at the BMW PC and can get us good pricing on a half or full day M Car program in their cars on their track earlier that week.
