We are now on the Fourth Generation of BMW automated manuals (SMG-1, SMG-2, SMG-3, DCT.... ) right... ? and it's just finally getting to goldilocks " just right "


Porsche enthusiasts have also rejected the idea of PDK. only.. .... so let's be clear.. the fat lady hasn't sung yet. :

if you like DCT.. go right ahead.. but don't try to push manual transmissions out the door..
One of the two is able to be repaired by the owner... the other.. not so much..

Not there yet, but I don't think it'll be for much longer. BMW stopped offering them on the base models (with the N20) and the next M5/6 will not have 6MT. That leaves us with the M2/3/4 and N55/B58 cars. That is not a lot of choices compared to even 7 years ago

However, looking at this small sample on this poll, there are still a few of us that want to save the manuals. Or they are just too cheap to tick that $2900 option (I'm both haha)
