So you decide what mass produced means? Where's your official definition of volume that I can look up? It's mass produced. It rolls off the line with every other car in Leipzig.
BMW had made 12,393 of them as of January of this year. Not mass produced... sure lol.
My Z4M roadster had lower production numbers for the entire run than the M2 did in year one... and it's still mass produced.

They made more than 11,000 M2s as pre-LCI so the number including LCI is most likely over 15,000 at least...not a "rare" car by any means but also not as common as an M4.
Even though the M2 gets a new engine it's still an M2 so total production of the M2 will end up somewhere near 25-30k probably...if including the M2C
