We'll focus on this portion of your post, to mitigate a circular debate on badge wars.
The CTR does a great job of putting the power down and with better rubber comes the ability to manage that power more effectively, permitting you plan on surpassing factory power levels.
Personally, I'm impressed that a FWD Civic is under a second slower than an M2C - I think that's quite respectable.
