you are correct about the M2/M3/M4 hiding their weight well.. The first thing that turned me off about the M2 is that it GAINED WEIGHT vs the 1M.

as it is.. The OP is already starting with the heavier DCT anyway.

yeah, I agree on both accounts...I guess I just really despise that the entire auto industry continues to get heavier and heavier - especially for high performance cars. And yet, horsepower is the main measure of performance and the only metric people care about (which is why it keeps going up and up and up)....while if you made your car 500 lbs less, it would probably perform just as good with less power and be more fun to drive
