I think rear quarter panels are very necessary, I got 3M Pro installed on mine ( replaced stock pieces with larger one ) and it is already beaten up from canyon runs. That would be my paint if I didn't have it.
Reason you didnt need it on 235 ss bc 235 has narrow rear. Those wide fenders on M2 are a blessing and a curse.
