USB coding is deactivated in the latest i-step - this will not stop the ability to activate permanently, it is a temporary hurdle.
Not all activations are equal, some have the ability to restore your headunit to factory condition before a dealer visit - this means that the latest i-step won't cause issues. The unit won't be bricked with the latest i-step, it is an issue with FSC creation dates.
But not updating is the best bet.
