I've recently seen some right leaning people saying an option to explore instead of disband/defund police would be to dissolved police unions. The thinking is that police unions protect bad cops the same way teachers unions protect bad teachers.
We shouldn't bargain with a mob anyway but I'm curious if this is a proposal worth considering.
