Do you mind expanding on what "the coding failed" means..? Did Bimmercode throw an error, or the car displayed a warning..? Was there a particular step that you took that you think caused the problem...?
I'd have taken exactly the same approach as you - baby steps to confirm that it works as advertised
Its difficult to see how such an innocuous update could create such an issue, which I'm sure adds to the frustration
