Only when you zoom in on some of the M2 badge shots on their web site you can clearly see what looks like some chrome still around the sides...and a few rough edges with the very thin black boarder around the stripes.

I bought a black M2 badge from IND and the edge quality is definitely not as good as the face quality. The edges of mine look a bit wrinkly / uneven. I was worrrows it would look bad on the car since you can see the edges when looking down from standing above, but in actuality it's not noticeable unless you go looking for it. The good news is I didn't notice any chrome.
I'll try to snap a picture tomorrow and post it up.
